Spring Is Here!
Tomorrow is Walpurgis Night here in Sweden. If you're not familiar with that tradition, you can read all about it here. Every town is lighting big bonfires at dusk, to celebrate the arrival of spring. Choirs are singing to welcome the springtime. This year, me and DH are invited to a Walpurgis Night party and I'm really looking forward to that.
It's certainly springtime here in Stockholm. I took the photo above at our campus yesterday. Cherry blossoms!! They are so beautiful! I' so happy that I remembered to take some springtime photos this year. It will be wonderful to make some spring layouts and preserve the wonder of the renewing nature. If it's springtime where you live, go outside and shoot some pics of the sprouts and blossoms. :)

Birthday Card With a Musical Theme
This is a birthday card I made that has a musical theme to it. I used Hero Arts Music Background and stamped it with Walnut Stain Distress Ink Pad. The letters are die cut from Chip Block from Tim Holtz Sizzix Alterations. The musicians are from Graphic 45 and Hampton Arts' stamp set Curtain Call no. 3, stamped with Black Soot Distress Ink Pad. A bit of black down behind that image adds some luxury to the card.

Last Easter Card For This Year
Happy Easter, everyone! For me, it's more work than play this year since I've got to do some editing on an article I've been writing. But hopefully, I'll still get a couple of days off this weekend for making more cards. :)
Here's my last Easter card for 2011. I Glimmer Misted the background with Sunflower from Tattered Angels, and stamped it with the Dots and Stripes background stamp from Hero Arts. I used some scraps from Fancy Pants Happy Together and stamped those with images from Tim Holtz stamp set Shabby French. The dragonflies are punched out with a Dragonfly punch from Martha Stewart and then stamped on. The letters are die cut from Tim Holtz Sizzix Alterations die Chip Block.

Easter Card in Pastel Colors
For this Easter card, I used the stamps from American Crafts' Librarian stamp set
from the Classics collection. Then I embellished the card with the pompom ribbon and die cut letters (Tim Holtz Alterations Vintage Market).

Butterfly Garden Stamped Easter Card
I just got the Butterfly Garden stamp set from Pink Paislee and look how gorgeous those stamps are on a card! this stamp set seems to be sold out everywhere right now, but I'm sure that the stores will get it back in stock. The handwritten letter stamp is from one of my favorite Tim Holtz stamp sets, Shabby French.

Easter/Springtime Card Using Scraps
For this card, I used a couple of old scraps and left over things from my stash. I'm too cheap to throw away even the smallest scrap of paper. They could be useful for something. Cardmaking is perfect for using up your stash.
