Here's a pretty collection from Bo Bunny that I forgot to publish at CHA time, which is a shame because it is actually my favorite Bo Bunny line at the moment. It's a Christmas collection called Blitzen. I love the images and the colors of this one! It's always so beautiful to mix browns with brighter colors. Echo Park's latest collection is Times & Seasons. Looks beautiful with a lot of vintage elements and wonderful colors! The mustaches are so much fun! I love the style of the Echo Park lines and the papers in this collection are gorgeous! Times & Seasons will ship in October.

Tim Holtz and Ranger are releasing three new gorgeous colors for this fall: Ripe Persimmon, Gathered Twigs and Seedless Preserve. They are limited editions and so there will only be the ink pads and no re-inkers or other products from these colors. I can't wait to get them and start creating! Read more on Tim's blog.

(Oh my, I just hope there will be some of those precious sets left on Monday when I get my scrap budget for October.) Follow-up Oct. 1: Bummer! They sold out in less than 24 hours. :(

Dear neglected blog readers, I feel that you deserve an explanation of my absence. It is one woman's fault that I have forsaken this poor blog lately. Lain Ehmann, I'm looking at you!
During Lain's Mother LOAD class at Big Picture Classes in September, I have been scrapping like crazy. I am filling my scrapbook albums with 12 x 12 layouts at a terrifying rate. LOAD means one layout a day. Hah! On most days, I am putting away no less than two (2!) layouts. Minimum! And some days I can add a digital layout to that. And I'm working at a mini book, as well. And we're only half way through the class! Wow!
Before I took this class it could take me at least a week to get even one single layout done. There was no end to the thinking and weighing and pondering the smallest brad or sticker for a page. Now, I'm a significantly faster scrapper and I love the pages I'm making.
Above is one of all the pages I've done during class, an old photo of my great grandparents. I never met them because they both passed away long before I was born, but there are so many sweet and great stories about them that I added an envelope for the extended journaling. I used Circa 1934 from Cosmo Cricket for this layout.
The daily prompt that I get from Lain is so inspiring! The atmosphere in the class is warm and friendly as we admire each other's projects in the gallery. There are so many talented scrappers out there. I really love it! If you ever get a chance to join Lain Ehmann for a LOAD, take it! You'll be amazed!
Anyhow. That is the reason for the lack of daily blog posts around here. And the reason for me suddenly running out of page protectors and albums for the first time of my life. LOL! I hope you'll understand... :)
My Pink Paislee box arrived today! Woohooo! Well, I'm not a fan of haul posts but they could be justified if it's a warehouse sale. A couple of people have already posted the contents of this Pink Paislee box on the internet, but I'm still making an exception to my principles: Here are some pics of the wonderful contents of my box. Just so I will remember when there are new warehouse sales next year. (It wasn't possible to catch all the goodies in one shot, so I had to take three different photos to get it all.)
I usually don't buy boxes from warehouse sales since the international shipping fees are sky high, but this time around the contents of this $49 box were worth more than $250 (almost $260 - I checked!) and if I would buy all these things in Sweden it would cost me about $500! :o
So in the light of those facts, the $45 for shipping seemed quite affordable. And the final push to buy this particular box was that it's chock full of my favorite Pink Paislee collections ever! And there were a lot of products that I didn't even have before! As for the things that I already have, I don't mind stocking up on my favorite lines. This box was like a big Christmas present! I'm so happy right now! Thank you so much Pink Paislee!
And yes, it is one of my Paper Pile Cats on the pics below. She did not waste one second before placing her big butt on the new pile of paper. lol! As you can see, she very carefully chose the two papers from the brand new and limited House of Three/Pink Paislee collection, Phantom. :)
My husband can make me laugh so hard! He can be the goofiest guy, sometimes. This is a LO that I made for the Mother LOAD class at Big Picture Classes. LOAD means that you make one Layout A Day. Every morning, I get a prompt from Lain and this has got me going so fast that I've made two or even three LO's on most of those days so far. I love it!
For this layout I used the Atomic Soup collection from Jillibean Soup. Note how the Gadget Gears die from Tim Holtz and Sizzix does not necessarily have to be vintage style or distressed. Thanks for looking!
I need classes and challenges to get some scrapping done. A deadline is good for productivity. Right now I'm following the free Design School classes at Two Peas In A Bucket and the Mother LOAD at Big Picture Classes. I'm also signed up for Boot Camp at Ella Publishing September 19-24. I'm going to make a big dent in my stash with all these classes. :)
I made the layout above as the homework assignment for the first week of Design School. This is the first time I have used white cardstock as a background, and I loved it! I'm a big fan of patterned paper but sometimes a neutral background can be pretty, too. And it really makes all colors pop!
