Fringe flags, stitching, sequins, vellum, glitter tape... this is a steaming hot trendy thank you card in the most current color combo: white, gold and a touch of peacock green. It was so much fun to make!
First of all I used the polka dot vellum with gold foil from Dear Lizzy and 5th and the Frolic collection. Ooooooh, I think this must be my favorite specialty paper of this decade! lol! I'm hoarding these precious sheets and I have almost 20 of them by now. I firmly believe that I will love it and use it for years to come. This is a true classic! Simple timeless design but still elegant and glamorous, that never goes out of style.
These vellum sheets are soon to be phased out but you can still find them at Scrapbook.com. They are currently sold out at Two Peas but I believe that they will restock if they can, because this vellum sheet is in such high demand right now. So if you happen to find them - buy!
I put some golden sequins behind the piece of vellum and stiched it. Made a couple of tissue paper fringe flags and punched out a heart from glitter tape. The rub-on butterflies are from Studio Calico. The sentiment was made from Dear Lizzy's 5th & Frolic letter tile stickers. Those are as gorgeous and timeless as the vellum! You can get them from Simon Says Stamp or from Two Peas.
So, are you just as crazy about gold as I am? lol!
Awesome card! Love all the touches you added. I have to say that gold foil vellum has grown on me. I've seen it in so many projects. But I'm not a gold person - I'm very drawn to silver but never to gold. I may have to pick up a sheet in my next order and see if it grows on me even more. :)
