Welcome to a new fresh month of the year, and the One Little Word Blog Hop! Ali Edwards' February challenge for us was to create a vision board for your word (above). My word for 2013 is Shine!
We were encouraged to look through magazines for images, but I do rarely buy paper magazines. I have all my favorite magazines in my iPad, with digital subscriptions. My solution was to create my vision board with the help of hybrid scrapbooking.
I made a collage in Photoshop, from my favorite Pinterest and digital images. I printed it on photo paper and added accents, such as letters, glitter tape, gold misted wood veneer and letter stickers. The white feathers to the upper left was adorned with golden glitter flakes. I put a metal game spinner from Tim Holtz Idea-ology line on the clockface image with a brad. Last but not least, I added a couple of gold sequins.
So, how am I doing with my shiny word and the OLW project? I'm doing great, thank you! I'm putting in late hours, working and studying hard. I wish I could shine a little bit more in person, as well. Maybe at least put on some nail polish. lol!
I would certainly need 48 hours a day this year, that is for sure. But I'm putting one foot in front of the other every day, tackle one task at a time from the massive mountain of to do-lists, and hope to reach all my goals and dreams in the end.
Below is the monthly page I made from the Modern Romance kit from Scrap Stash Kit Club, where you use your own stash to make a monthly kit that looks current and on trend.
Just as I did last month, I used small vellum books for journaling, locked with a brad and letter stickers on the cover revealing the subject. One big theme for February was, of course, LOVE! I celebrate both Valentine's Day and my wedding anniversary in February. :)
The 'Work' book includes everything from my studies to writing blog posts. Not that blogging feels like work - au contraire! - it is so much fun that I almost get a bad conscience for doing it. :D

I like your hybrid version - I thought about doing that as the few mags I get tend to be digital. Yours is lovely and glittery plus all that movement too. Fun stash busting kit too.
