I hope you haven't missed the One Buck Wednesday events at Jessica Spragues blog and shop. Every Wednesday you can buy digital scrapbooking collections for just one dollar a piece! Today, and today only, Cosmo Cricket's Wanted collection (above) is marked down, along with Echo Park's Springtime (below) and several other digital packs. That is just amazing!
I've bought several of the Echo Park and Cosmo Cricket collections along with some products from Carina Gardner, for example the beautiful Haunted collection from My Mind's Eye. All of those digital goodies can be bought and downloaded to your computer, and even if few of the collections are marked down on a Wednesday, they are still offered in the shop for a great price. A lot of the collections are sold for about $5, which really isn't a lot of money.
The beauty of all this is that I actually have most of the papers and embellies from these collections in my stash! So the digital collections are add-ons for me. I'm able to create hybrid projects and, of course, digital layouts with Photoshop. I love the possibilities!
I wish that all of the scrapbooking manufacturers would make their collections digital and downloadable. I think they would increase their earnings that way. Because we don't choose between the papers or the digital files - we want them all! (As always. LOL!) I know that Webster's Pages are offering their collections in digital packs as well, but other than that I don't think that many of the manufacturers have digitalized their lines.
It's such a benefit for me as a scrapper. Here's an example: Everybody Loves Christmas is one of my all time favorite Christmas collections. Now that I have the digital files as well as loads of the paper product, I can play around with the different papers and elements without worrying about messing up or running out of those supplies. I can make digital sketches of a layout, trying out different approaches and different supplies from that line, before making the actual paper layout. It's totally awesome! Just a tip for today. :)
