If you have looked into the online scrapbooking galleries lately, you may have noticed this new trend: cutting up paper into tiny pieces. There are often pages where the 12x12 patterned paper is cut up/punched in small triangles, squares, circles, and then used on plain cardstock. Makes me realize that I definitely can give up the thought of ever using up my ginormous stash of pretty patterned paper. Ha! ;D

For the page above, 'Mug Shot', I cut a patterned paper in strips and then made them into different lengths. This paper consists of collage strips from the beginning, so I only separated them and mixed them up. Then I added machine stitching for extra texture and embellished. The journaling is written on two loose tags that are tucked under the photo and can be removed for reading.

On the pages below, I made good use of my circle punches. It was actually quite fun to mix and match all those separate papers.

So, are you going to cut up your papers into tiny pieces for your next scrapbook page? :)
