Let's party like it's 1999, when the scrabooking industry began to bloom, right? There are always some party themed lines on the market, but this year they look a little different. It feels kind of strange to find actual paper straws, confetti, paper bags and cupcake liners in a scrapbooking collection. Adding real party items to scrapbooking lines is probably a way for scrapbooking brands to branch out and try to survive in a contracting industry. The image above is from a pack of a fringe banner from Maggie Holmes' Confetti line.
It could be fun to organize a party with items and table setting appearing in photos and then scrap those photos with coordinating supplies!
Above: Wooden spoons and cupcake liners from Dear Lizzy's Fine & Dandy. Below: Paper straws from Jillibean Soup.
There are, of course, party item images among the regular scrapbooking products in these collections. Balloons, party hats, confetti and birthday cake candles. Below is chipboard shapes from Maggie Holmes' Confetti. We all have a number of birthdays in the family every year, so it is a given theme.
The balloon trend is another long term trend that I wrote about in May: Why Every Girl Wants a Balloon, and it seems that the girls still want one, and it'd better be a big one! :) The big balloon kit below is from Maggie Holmes' Confetti line.
How do you like the party trend? Have you began to plan your next party with these beautiful items?
